Tuesday Morning Prayer

Opening Prayer: All the creatures you have created, O Lord, enter before you; they kneel and adore you, sing and hallow you, ask and entreat you, implore and beseech you, confess and glorify you, for by your command were they constructed, and through your will they came to be; for you are the cause of their existence, and the breath and source of our lives, O Lord of all, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, forever.

People: Amen.

Psalm 100
Glorify the Lord, all the earth.
O giver of light, O Lord: we lift up praise to you.
Glorify the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord in gladness.
       Enter before him with praise.
Know that he is the Lord our God.
He is our maker, it was not we.
We are his people, the sheep of his flock.
       Enter his gates with thanksgiving

and his courts with praise

Give thanks to him and bless his name,
for the Lord is good and eternal is his grace,
and his faithfulness is unto the ages.
Glory to the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
       Forever and ever, amen, amen.
Glorify the Lord, all the earth.
O giver of light, O Lord: we lift up praise to you.
Let us pray. Peace be with us.
Priest:It is the duty, O Lord, of heaven, earth, and all therein to thank, adore, and glorify you for all of your benefits and graces toward us, you whose greatness cannot be repaid, O Lord of all, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, forever.

People: Amen.

To you, O Lord of all, we thank,
and to you, Jesus Christ, we praise,
for you are the giver of life to our bodies
and the savior of our souls.
In the morning, you hear my voice, O Lord, and
in the morning I prepare and present myself to you.
To you, O Lord of all, we thank,
and to you, Jesus Christ, we praise,
for you are the giver of life to our bodies
and the savior of our souls.
Glory to the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit
forever and ever, amen, amen.
To you, O Lord of all, we thank,
and to you, Jesus Christ, we praise,
for you are the giver of life to our bodies
and the savior of our souls.
Let us pray. Peace be with us.
Priest: To you who raises our bodies in his mercy, and who aids and saves the souls with the kind command of his will, the great king of glory, the being who exists from eternity, do we give thanks, adore, and glorify at all times, O Lord of all, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, forever.

People: Amen.

Hymn of Praise
Glory to you, our God.
Thanksgiving to you, our maker.
We bless you, our fashioner.
O tender Lord.
O merciful God.
O compassionate creator.
O savior, our guardian.
Our helper and upholder.
We adore you, O Lord,
for patient is your Spirit and great is your grace.
O merciful one, forgive us & have pity on us.
Turn to us in the greatness of your mercy.
Our support and mighty stronghold!
O Lord our God, show us your face,
and we shall be saved.
O accepter of the repentant in his mercy:
accept our prayer and our supplication.
O hearer of the voice of his adorers:
let our imploring come before you,
and have mercy on us.
O forgiver of the debts of mortals in his pity:
forgive us our debts and sins in your pity.
O absolver of the sins of mankind in his grace:
absolve our many sins, and have mercy on us.
O good hope of mankind,
grant us peace and serenity,
that we may confess your Trinity,
O Lord of all, forever, amen.
Let us pray. Peace be with us.

Priest: O compassionate one, whose name is holy, who is good and just from everlasting, overflowing with loving-kindness and mercy; pour forth, O Lord our God, the compassion of the kindness of your love on the souls of your faithful, who call and beseech you, at all times, O Lord of all, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, forever.

People:Barikh Mar.

Priest: Bless, O Lord, your servants, in your compassion, and keep your faithful from all harm through the overflowing abundance of your mercy. Shepherd, guide, help, and protect our lives beneath the caring wings of your love. Save, rescue, and deliver our bodies and souls from the evil one and his hosts, at all seasons and times, O Lord of all, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, forever.

People:Amen.

Onyatha d-Sahde
Praise the Lord, O you righteous:O martyrs, you were merchants whose storehouse is in heaven, for you have bought the pearl with the blood that poured forth from your necks.
The Lord will abide in it forever:In the country where your bones are laid, there dwell peace and tranquility, and the camp of the angels on high guard it, and the inhabitants.
Blessed are the people that are in such matter:Blessed is the country where within are laid your bones as storehouses, for when the light of the sun is darkened, the light from your bones shines forth.
More desirable than gold and precious stones:Your bones are pearls and your bodies are the fragrance of incense. The blood which flowed from you brought favor to all creation.
Like a thirsty and desolate land that desires water:Like a land that thirsts for water and daily longs for moisture, so did the martyrs thirst for the sweet love of their Lord.
How good and beautiful:How beautiful is that vessel, which bore Mar Qiryaqos. Companies of cherubim bear it in procession and seraphim in their blessings.
From the rising of the sun to its setting:Behold, everywhere are processions of the glorious day of the memorial of the victorious martyr Hormizd. Blessed is he who crowned him with victory.
Glory to the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit:Hail, you who have conquered! Hail, you who have been victorious! Hail, you who have become partakers in the suffering of the Son!
Forever and ever, amen, amen:Your truth is great, O holy patron saint, and your happiness is exalted and glorious. Make request for us all, that we may share in your joy.
Let all people say amen, amen:He who hears the prayers of his servants and answers the petitions of his faithful, hear our prayers and requests, and in your mercy, answer our petitions.
After Martyr Prayers
*As morning dawns, we praise you, Lord, for you have saved your whole creation. In mercy grant a day of peace; bestow forgiveness for our sins.
*May you not ever cut off hope, nor shut the door before our face. Do not withhold your care from us, for you alone know our weakness.
*Sow love, peace, and harmony, uphold our priests and calm our kings, heal all our sick and guard the strong, forgive the sins of all mankind.
*We awake in the morning and adore the Father, lift up praise to the Son, and confess the Holy Spirit.
*May the grace of the Father, the mercy of the Son, and the compassion of the Spirit, the Trinitarian mystery, be for our benefit all of our days.
*In you is our help, O true doctor, supporter. Apply the medicine of your mercy and heal our wounds, lest we perish completely.
*Without your help, we become even weaker. O Christ, support of those who fulfill his will, protect your adorers, that they keep your commands.
*Let us plead in groaning and beg for mercy, asking forgiveness from the merciful one, who opens his door to all who turn toward him.
*Day after day, I promise you that tomorrow I will repent, but my days pass away and are gone, and my sins remain. O Christ, forgive me, and have mercy on me!
*Let us pray. Peace be with us.
Final Blessing:May your grace dawn upon us, O Lord, when your justice judges us, and may your mercy come to our aid on the day that your greatness dawns, O Lord of all, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, forever.
